Astana Medical University is ranks in one of the biggest
recognised universities in Kazakhstan. Astana medical university located in NUR – SULTAN (Astana). During the
period of time 1998-2019 NUR- SULTAN is known as ASTANA. But after March 2019 Astana
city is renamed as NUR-SULTAN. NUR-SULTAN is also known as the capital
of Kazakhstan and also called as the financial capital of the country. Because NUR
–SULTAN is richest and developed
city of Kazakhstan and also the capital of the country so that this is called
as the financial capital of the Kazakhstan. NUR-SULTAN is also known as the 2nd coldest capital in
the world because at winter season the temperature goes around −30 to −35 °C
and in summer season the temperature is across 35 °C. The average annual temperature of NUR – SULTAN is 3.5 °C
(38.3 °F).
AMU initially started as a medical
institute in Astana in the year 1997,
but on the bases of the increasing number of courses and students council of
ministers of Republic of Kazakhstan decided to honour this medical institute as
a medical university and the this university got a status of university as
Astana medical university. AMU is a MCI recognized university and also
recognized under WHO. AMU offers a 6 year MBBS course which includes 5 years of
main course and 1 year internship programme. Indian students may choose MBBS course in English language because
MCI recognises MBBS degree in
English for practising as a doctor in India. All the international students
must have to study the local language of Kazakhstan for better practising and
this local language experience may helps students to deal with the local
students and patients of Kazakhstan. In the year 2016 AMU starts intake of international students. Due to the shining
results and best educational environment of the university, foreign student’s
feels an attraction and a wide range of international students came for the
admission to make their dreams came true.
